Sorry I have been somewhat desparecida as of late. Between numerous work trips in South America, we’ve been hunkering down to finish our brand new website. After months of designing, writing, editing, and programming; we are super psyched to debut the revamped lizcaskey.com. (Drum Roll). YAY!
I don’t want to ruin the suspense for you, but the new site looks pretty snazzy with hundreds of original photos (90-95% taken by my amazingly talented husband Francisco) of our itineraries and experiences in Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay. Francisco is the man behind the look; desing and editing of the website, and has brought to life our journeys through these pictures. The programming part was done by Gustavo Latorre and Danielle Koehler of dalitopia.
I had a total blast writing the text this time around for our sample itineraries and the hotels section, the preferred properties where our guests slumber. We have been so fortunate to experience these amazing destinations and places first hand, as I curated and wrote each itinerary, I felt like I had set off again on the trip to revisit these inspirational spots and people. We have twenty suggested private itineraries for our food & wine trips to get your travel juices flowing.
As many of you know, we also rolled out Signature Journey this year, a new concept with small group tours with set departure dates that I am personally hosting. Diverse Vibrant Chile, Flavors of Peru, Southern Cone Sampler, and The Age of Argentina are detailed on the new lizcaskey.com with dates, pictures, hotels, descriptions, and of course, the itineraries! Take a look here.
If you feel like doing some armchair (or computer) traveling, pour yourself a glass of Chilean/Argentine wine and settle in to click through the itineraries, see/feel the love behind what we do, and tap into why South America has us so jazzed as a food and wine destination. We hope you’ll join us in 2012 or 2013 to find out for yourself. Let us know what you think about the new site too!
