Sounds like a superb treat. Your description got my salivary glands going...had to step away and open up a big red.

Funny, how you can take a good wine, add a great setting...and the wine rises to another level. And that sound like a perfect setting to me.

El Principal 1999. Tasted 19.9.10 at Grwp Gwin Gellifor.
Now 11 years since vintage, this wine shows a garnet core with hints of ochre at the rim. The nose displays gentle notes of stewed autumn fruits with a twist of charred rubber. The palate is full and layered, with matured tannins wrapped in forest fruits. The wine has a fresh acidity in full balance with the tannins and leaves a long and satifying finish. Without doubt the wine of the night. 92/100
